The Elves

Four names, one harmony — musicians
who sing, strum, and vanish with a wink.
Jokers and prophets, they slowly become
part of a melody that will change
the world of the Forest.

🧭 Role

The Elves are musicians, performers, and pranksters — magical beings whose power lies not in spells or prophecies, but in harmony. They don’t fight battles, give guidance, or seek power, but they bring a different kind of energy into the story: rhythm, humor, and unexpected courage. Anne meets them in a moment of need, but instead of helping, they mock her. The beginning is rough. Later, she finds a bridge that connects her to them.

Each elf carries the spirit of one of the four Beatles. Ivan-John is sarcastic, ironic, a bit short-tempered. Pavel-Paul is the heart of the group — warm, balanced, always seeking common ground. Goran-George and Rangel-Ringo stay in the background, but add unexpected depth with short remarks and loyal actions. Together, they are more than the sum of four voices — a full orchestra of personalities.

The Elves embody art in its purest form: playful, spontaneous, shamelessly chaotic. They are the voice of music before discipline, of poetry before meaning. Their presence adds color and rhythm to Anne’s journey — but also a fair share of irritation. They tease her, mock her, and refuse to take her seriousness seriously. And yet, they show her something important: that not every ally needs to be solemn. That joy has a place in a hero’s path.

Each of them reflects a different facet of creative temperament. Ivan-John is the sharp tongue — rebellion and irony. Pavel-Paul is balance — calm amidst the noise. Goran-George and Rangel-Ringo are intuitive depth — often silent, but always present.

Their flight symbolizes freedom. Their songs — longing. Their lack of a home reflects their role in the story: they don’t offer stability — they lift. And when they sing alongside Justa Diva, it’s not just a concert. It’s proof that something light, comical, and absurd can carry real power.

🗣️ Quotes

Well now, lads — would you look at that! If it isn’t Quirk himself! Our Forest Poet! The one and only! Quirk, old chap, when are you finally going to write us some lyrics, hmm? We’ve been waiting ages — always dodging the pen, that one.

Imagine that! There are still folks out there who don’t know who we are.

And who exactly do you take us for, young lady? Just 'cause you’ve got coins in your pouch, you think you can get away with anything, is that it? Is that what’s rattling around in that fancy head?

Madam Diva… that was… magic. Real, proper magic. For the first time in my life, I believed in what I was singing. Never — never have I felt so truly happy!

📚 Evolution Across Books

📘 Book I

In Book I, the Elves begin as comic figures — lighthearted, ironic, and self-absorbed. They don’t offer help, but mockery. Their first encounter with Anne is almost a disaster. But when she manages to unite them with Justa Diva, something shifts. Their dream comes to life. From jesters, they become musicians with purpose.

📗 Book II

In Book II, the Elves are among the group captured and taken to Heino’s prison camp. Even there, they continue to bring levity and rhythm — a spark of resistance through song and sarcasm. Though confined, they remain true to themselves: untamed, offbeat, and unexpectedly uplifting.

📙 Book III

In the final book, their presence is more fleeting — but their significance deepens. When they return, something in them has changed. Their light has dimmed, but not gone out. With them returns the memory of a time when music was still possible — even in the face of danger.

🕳️ Secrets / Theories

– Where do they go when they’re not on stage? Do they even exist outside the melody?

– Does each of them carry a memory of a real musician?

– Do they have a mission — or are they simply following the rhythm wherever it leads?

– Could their song turn out to be the key to restoring the Forest?

– Do they come from a world of music that once bordered the Forest?
